Workshop Terms & Conditions

My workshop days are by appointment. The workshop fee must be paid in full before the workshop takes place. In the event of non-attendance the fee will be non-refundable, however, if an unforeseen event has occurred you may re-arrange your workshop date for another time.

Prior to making a booking please contact me by email at Metalclayni@gmail.com to discuss potential dates and times.

You will have a better chance of getting your first choice of date and time the further ahead you book.

You don’t need to bring anything to a workshop, everything you need will be provided. Magnification tools are provided during workshops but please ensure you have any spectacles you need for close work.

The cost includes sufficient clay to complete the workshop you are booked for and include sundries depending on the workshop and use of tools.

Price includes refreshments, typically coffee, tea, filtered water, biscuits. A full day’s course will include the coffee break snacks plus a light lunch of homemade soup and bread.

Unless otherwise specified, the material you will be working with is fine silver metal clay which, when fired will produce silver items which are 99.9% pure silver.

Workshops can be one to one or up to a maximum of 4 persons.

Workshops are not suitable for persons aged under 12 years. Workshop participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

My objective is to give you a fun day out with a lovely piece of jewellery to take home.

OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW

Getting to the workshop :

The workshop will take place at 20 Skeagh Road, Kinallen, Co. Down, BT25 2QE which is between Dromore and Dromara. It is quite straightforward by car and I would suggest you use Google maps to find me. I have ample secure, off road parking.

Accessibility by public transport :

It is possible to reach Kinallen by public transport from Belfast and Lisburn, but the times may not always be suitable. There is a very good express service, the 238 Goldliner between Belfast Europa and Newry which stops in Dromore.

Arrangements for collection from the public transport stop by a local taxi firm is advised.

More detailed step by step instructions from any direction can be supplied on request by email. Please contact me at Metalclayni@gmail.com

Illness and cancellation :

Working with metal clay and tools requires concentration and you need to be well on the day. If you are genuinely unwell, please let me know as soon as possible and we can re-arrange your appointment for another date. It is important that you don’t attend if under par as it could impair judgement when using tools.

If you just don’t arrive or change your mind after booking, no refund of any deposit will be given but I will always do my best to help you re-arrange your booking for another day where genuine reasons are involved.
